About the Role
The Real Estate Transactions Paralegal will play a critical role supporting a high-volume real estate transactions team for a national owner and operator of single-family rental properties. This position will oversee the transaction process from contract execution through closing, conduct title and due diligence reviews, coordinate with external parties, and help resolve issues that could impact transaction timelines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple transactions while partnering closely with legal, acquisitions, and asset management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential real estate transactions from contract execution through closing and post-closing activities.
- Coordinate with closing counsel, escrow and title companies, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure transactions remain on schedule.
- Review title commitments, recorded documents, HOA governing documents, and closing materials to identify risks and transaction requirements.
- Conduct due diligence and maintain organized, audit-ready transaction files and documentation.
- Resolve title defects, liens, and other closing issues by coordinating corrective actions, releases, and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- 3+ years of paralegal experience supporting legal transactions or complex matters.
- Experience with real estate transactions, title review, escrow coordination, or closing processes is highly preferred.
