IN OUR BROWARD OFFICE:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury law to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support attorneys in managing complex personal injury cases, from initial client intake through case resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, legal research expertise, and a proactive approach to case management. This paid position is designed for individuals passionate about advancing their legal support experience within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and discovery requests related to personal injury claims
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Manage and organize case files ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Review medical records, accident reports, and other relevant documentation to build strong case files
- Coordinate with insurance companies, medical providers, and external agencies to facilitate case progress
- Maintain detailed case logs, update status reports, and ensure all deadlines are met in compliance with procedural law requirements
Skills
- Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or civil litigation support
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal drafting, and document review processes
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and data entry
- Experience supporting attorneys in general & commercial litigation or workers’ compensation law is a plus
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail in legal writing and document management
