Legal.io is searching for an experienced Paralegal to serve a leading pharmaceutical company for a nine month contract. The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge contract review and management, as well as healthcare privacy and compliance. This is a fully remote role, but candidates must work EST hours.
Scope of Work
Client: Otsuka Pharmaceutical
Title: Paralegal (Secondment)
Experience: 7+ Years
Location: Remote (United States (must work EST))
Hours: 40 Hours / Week
Duration: 8 Months (From 4/8/2025 until 12/31/2025)
Hourly Pay Rate: $35 – $44 / hour ($70,000 – $88,000 annualized)

Responsibilities
Innovative and highly motivated Certified Paralegal with demonstrated experience supporting and advising senior management and attorneys in areas of contract development, negotiation, and post-award administration across diverse law topics
Assist and provide support to attorneys including contract review and revisions, assisting attorneys in contract negotiations, and working with contract administration groups to facilitate contract completion
Assist attorney in performing basic legal research and preparing memoranda regarding diverse areas of law
Assist with the drafting, revising, and maintaining healthcare compliance policies and procedures
Prepare, facilitate, and administer letters, emails, and other related documents, ensuring accurate grammar, spelling, content, and business formats, to internal and external parties throughout the Americas; maintain correspondence and project files
Maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive company information
Prepare and maintain legal department documents and corporate records
Interact with business units as necessary to obtain documents and information relevant to matters
Track contract negotiations and propose contract modifications
Qualifications/Experience
Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent), college degree and/or a paralegal certificate preferred
7 to 10 years paralegal experience
Must have in-house experience within Pharma or Medical Device
Required Skills Include:
Exhibit deep knowledge and interpretation of contracts language
Understanding of healthcare and consumer privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA, MHMD)
Understanding of healthcare and medical device regulatory compliance (AKS, FCA, FDA)
Experience in successfully communicating complex technical concepts, processes and procedures to all levels of audiences from senior management to end-users
