Paralegal, Energy & Natural Resources Division
Start Date: To be determined upon hire.
Salary: Starting at $74,000 – Depends on Experience (DOE).
Location: Boise, Idaho
Primary Duties:
The Energy & Natural Resources Division of the Idaho Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Paralegal position to provide support to attorneys who handle litigation in state and federal courts, including Idaho’s statewide water adjudications, contracts, real estate transactions, and administrative matters on behalf of the State and its natural resource agencies. The Paralegal tasks include drafting, editing, and cite checking pleadings and discovery; drafting and editing a wide variety of contracts, summarizing discovery and testimony, conducting legal research, maintaining electronic files and deadlines, and performing other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules and e-filing systems
- Familiarity with state administrative hearing procedures
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent grammar and proofreading skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Strong computer skills and effective use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience as a Paralegal
- Familiarity with legal case management systems, including Clio and Laserfiche
- Familiarity with Bluebook citations
- Familiarity with use of Westlaw research
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including creation of table of contents, tables and authority, and advanced brief formatting
