Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Paralegal Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a corporate paralegal team within a dynamic Business Law environment.
This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality legal support while driving operational efficiency, best practices, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of corporate paralegals to ensure high-quality service delivery to attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, and leadership, as well as other administrative departments.
- Collaborate with department and practice group leadership to maximize paralegal utilization, efficiency, and profitability through effective workflows and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with firm policies, legal standards, timekeeping requirements, overtime guidelines, and ethical obligations.
- Support recruitment, retention, and performance management processes for paralegal staff.
- Evaluate staffing needs and partner with leadership to allocate resources effectively based on workflow demands.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements that enhance productivity and service delivery.
- Oversee onboarding of new hires, including training on systems, workflows, and organizational culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across leadership, stakeholders, and paraprofessional teams.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-focused service excellence.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development support to paralegals.
- Develop and implement training programs for paralegals and educate attorneys on effective utilization of paralegal resources.
- Assess opportunities to integrate automation and AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal within a corporate practice.
- Prior people management or supervisory experience required.
- Experience working in a national or large law firm environment preferred.
