Since 2006, Goldberg and Associates has built a steadfast reputation of success in immigration law. We are growing and are looking for a passionate and driven IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY with experience in USCIS and Removals to join our team.
The USCIS Attorney will work with our paralegals and Managing Partner to assist our clients in processing their immigration cases.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 to $110,000
Responsibilities:
Provide legal representation to individuals on immigration matters, including representation before government agencies, such as: U.S. immigration courts, U.S. Citizenship, and Immigration Services
Conduct thorough consultations with clients as needed
Conduct preparation sessions with clients for interviews before USCIS, U.S. immigration courts, and U.S. state courts;
Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents, and interpret laws, rulings, agency guidance and regulations to determine appropriate legal strategy for advisability of proceeding with a case;
Docket all case deadlines, when necessary;
Manage large caseloads, independently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, review, draft, and monitor petitions
Oversee timely preparation of cases assigned and keep track of all deadlines under the attorney’s supervision;
Provide guidance to paralegals on assigned cases, including monitoring case progress, monitoring emails to clients, setting case strategies
Review the work of paralegals in recordkeeping and document preparation;
Prepare legal cover letters, memorandums, briefs and opinions;
Prepare and file appeals before administrative and federal courts;
Keep clients informed of case progress through telephonic, electronic and written communication;
Prepare appeals, motions, and petitions before the federal district courts and federal circuit courts; and representing clients before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, U.S
Develop and litigate cases, including legal research and developing case strategy
Interviews, certifies eligibility and identifies the legal problems of G&A clients within a specific area of law and provides clients with appropriate legal assistance in the form of advice, referrals, or actual representation
Participates in outreach and case acceptance meetings
Represents clients in court and before administrative agencies, including investigation, witness preparation, pre and post hearing written arguments, conduct of the hearing and related activities
Provides documentation, statistical information and other records as required by the Managing Attorney, Legal Project Manager
Participates in training to keep up CLEs as may be provided by the program
Required Skills/Abilities:Education and Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Be able to attend USCIS interviews and must be able to travel
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Gsuite or related software.
Education and Experience:
At least two years of experience as an Immigration Attorney
JD degree from an accredited law school
Active CA Bar license (in a good standing)
