A high-end plaintiff-side law firm seeks to hire for its Chicago office (three days in office per week) a midlevel or senior attorney for a role focused exclusively on birth trauma litigation. The firm seeks an attorney (defense or plaintiff-side) with medical malpractice experience (birth injury experience not required) and experience taking depositions. For the senior role, the firm seeks someone who has significant expert witness deposition experience, as well as first chair trial experience. The role will involve taking depositions, trials, and significant travel within the U.S. as the practice is national; travel can at times be up to 50% of the time during the workweek (but back in Chicago on weekends typically). Base salary is likely $125,000-$220,000 (depending on experience), and attorneys within this group work hard. I have placed multiple attorneys with this group and many other attorneys with the firm.
