Junior Associate Attorney Position.
Our law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney with experience to build upon. Salary range of $110,000 to $140,000, plus benefits and bonuses, depending on qualifications and experience. Our firm is a Florida litigation firm representing clients in the tri-county South Florida area, as well as other counties throughout the State, in civil litigation matter. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to work with the senior attorneys to help progress the litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have civil litigation experience, enhancing foundational civil litigation skills that can be grown upon here. Candidate attorneys with more experience and qualifications are also sought, and additional compensation will be offered.
Senior attorneys provide regular mentoring, reviewing of case strategy, assistance with legal analysis and case planning to work with the associate attorneys to improve litigation skills. Attorney Responsibilities:
Draft pleadings and motions as well as opposition memorandum
Provide case analysis and help develop case strategy
Prepare and respond to discovery
Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings including evidentiary hearings
Explain legal options to clients and bringing possible outcomes or threats to their attention
Build relationships with clients and diligently represent the interests of the law firm and its clients
Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively
Attorney Requirements:
Prior civil litigation work
Experience with Westlaw and applying research results to memorandum of law
Experience with substantive and evidentiary court hearings
Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background
Self-motivated, and goal oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours goals
