The Ebbert Law Firm is growing and looking for attorneys with three to five years of experience after graduation. Our firm specializes in legal services for small and medium-sized businesses in various areas, including labor and employment. We also provide estate planning and probate services to individuals.

Responsibilities:

Attorney responsibilities include:

Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
Supervise administrative staff
Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
Preside over paralegals, and administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings, and completing client projects
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must be members in good standing with the TN State Bar.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience.
Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a law firm environment.
Litigation experience and excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills as well as strong academic credentials. The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents such as motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses, as well as conducting interviews and deposing witnesses.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their unique needs, and provide effective solutions.
Must be able to handle heavy caseloads with little supervision.
Preferred experience in management-side employment law and business law.
