Medical Records Clerk

We are currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Medical Records Clerk position, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our cases by effectively managing medical documentation throughout the pre-litigation process. Working under the supervision of an attorney and alongside the case management team, this individual will be responsible for obtaining, organizing, and reviewing medical records to support case development and settlement. Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with clients and case managers to review and verify provider lists.
Request medical and billing records from healthcare providers and facilities.
Proactively follow up with providers and vendors to ensure timely receipt of all required records.
Work closely with attorneys and case managers to provide timely updates on the status of record requests.
Track and manage deadlines related to medical record retrieval to support case timelines effectively.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal injury law, with a thorough understanding of relevant statutes, healthcare providers, and legal medical record procurement procedures.
Compassionate, dedicated, and goal-driven professional with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset.
Approachable and empathetic with excellent interpersonal skills and the patience necessary for effective client interactions.
Proven ability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple case files.
Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience:
Legal Medical Records (this is not a medical office): 1 year+ (Required)
Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
Experience with Clio software (Preferred)
Location Requirements:
Must be able to commute to Addison/Dallas, TX 75001 (Required)
In-office at our Addison location, with the flexibility to work remotely up to one day per week.

Pay: $45,000 and up starting salary depending on experience with room for growth
