Job Overview
A premier plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Miami is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate/Attorney with experience in maritime law and federal court litigation. This role is ideal for a mid- to senior-level attorney passionate about advocating for injury victims and managing complex cases from intake through trial.
Responsibilities
Manage a diverse personal injury caseload, including maritime injury claims.
Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery in state and federal courts.
Conduct depositions, argue motions, and represent clients in hearings and mediations.
Engage in settlement negotiations and prepare for trial.
Collaborate with experts, investigators, and support staff.
Maintain consistent communication with clients, offering legal advice and case updates.
Required Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Bar membership in the state of Florida.
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in plaintiff-side personal injury law.
Admitted to practice in federal district courts.
Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling cruise ship injury claims, Jones Act, or maritime cases.
Trial experience or significant litigation involvement.
Bilingual (Spanish preferred but not required).
Background in federal clerkship, law review, or top-tier law school a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
