About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Paralegal supporting the Summons and Subpoenas team in Legal Services within the Chief Operating Office (COO). For additional information on lines of business, refer to the external careers site at www.wellsfargojobs.com .

In this role, you will:
Collaborate, consult, and provide information with Legal Department attorneys and staff, outside counsel and collaborate with line of business
Communicate with government entities as needed
Coordinate with attorneys on special requests or highly complex projects
Develop and lead a team to meet assignment, resolution plan and/or client needs, and negotiate adjustments to plan as needed
Develop relationships with business units and is proactive in participating in strategic efforts of client while identifying and addressing issues
Identify specific as well as broad underlying issues in area of expertise and work independently on very complex assignments without direct supervision
Prepare agreements, documents and pleadings, and provide research and background information under the direction of an attorney
Present recommendations and exercise some independent judgement while developing specialty expertise
Produce clear and concise written materials that can be submitted to the client with minimal revision or review by an attorney
Provide substantiation and background for specific client inquiries, claims, disputes, cases and proceedings with minimal direction of an attorney
Provide support to a specialized practice area within the Legal Department requiring a high degree of analytical, written and oral communication and organizational skills
Research and resolve issues and matters which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed research and examination of documentation and factual investigation
Work directly with business clients and develops an understanding of business unit needs and develops plans to resolve issues

Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Advanced project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while leading large complex enterprise-level initiatives
Demonstrated experience driving organizational change, developing innovative solutions, and delivering results
Experience consolidating large amounts of project status information to identify key risks, customer impact, financial implications, delays, and issues that may pose material risk
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated experience facilitating communication with internal and outside legal counsel(s)
Financial services experience
Demonstrated experience with California Law and Legal Orders
Demonstrated experience with Wells Fargo Summons and Subpoenas processes and procedures
Demonstrated experience analyzing statutes, working with rules and procedures, and processing filings within multiple jurisdictions
Demonstrated experience reviewing, and analyzing, legal documents including utilizing business writing standard formats and templates
Demonstrated experience working with in-house legal counsel
Experience working with Litigation
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Job Expectations:
