Boutique Miami firm that provides full-service litigation and transactional services is seeking to add an entry-level to second year (0-2) Associate Attorney to its Coral Gables office.
The firm functions as general corporate counsel for a number of corporate clients so the scope of work includes business litigation, corporate governance, and transactional matters.
Litigation work will include tasks like conducting research, drafting pleadings, and discovery. Associate Attorney will be encouraged to attend hearings and, when ready, argue. The firm handles matters in both state and federal court. Most litigation matters are business disputes. The firm takes a bespoke approach to each case. So, there is little to no routine or rote litigation practice.
Transactional or corporate responsibilities will include drafting corporate governance documents (bylaws, operating agreements, resolutions, etc.) and reviewing or drafting a slew of transactional agreements (like NDAs, LOI/MOUs, purchase and sale agreements, distribution agreements, etc.). Clients are diverse and range from the medical field to highly regulated industries like consumer financial services.
The Associate Attorney will have substantial client contact and opportunity to engage in the adversarial practice. Supervising partner will provide exposure to real-life practice and provide substantive feedback on work product. We are looking for a conscientious, diligent, and dedicated person that is interested in a diverse and varied practice. LLM and non-traditional students are strongly encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
The firm offers paid time off and a flexible work schedule. Working environment is casual.
