PARALEGAL / LEGAL ASSISTANT:
Barney & Karamanis, LLP, a Chicago Loop law firm, is seeking to hire a full-time Paralegal / Legal Assistant with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join its growing practice.
The primary focus of this position will involve ordering and follow up of all medical records/bills and deposition transcripts, issuing subpoenas, and providing general legal support to office staff including answering phones, document scanning, copying and filing. The ideal candidate should be reliable, detailed-oriented, organized, able to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and have the ability to work independently in a challenging environment.
Knowledge of Word/Excel required. Prior litigation experience is REQUIRED and Plaintiff work is a plus. This position requires 5 days in office and offers a competitive salary, health insurance and matching 401K.
