Job Overview
TThe law firm of Pearson Doyle Mohre & Pastis LLP is seeking a full-time Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal. We are looking for a team member with strong administrative skills and attention to detail, who is highly motivated and capable of working both autonomously and as a team player. Construction Law and trial experience are preferred, but not pre-requisites.
Excellent compensation and benefits package. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Prepare, edit, update and finalize drafts of correspondence, pleadings, motions and discovery
· Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure relating to filing/serving documents and deadlines
· Prepare and manage subpoenas and deposition notices
· Working with expert witnesses and consultants
· Review, organize and summarize documents, including preparing chronologies
· Professional communication with clients, opposing counsel and vendors
· Assist with discovery, depositions, trial preparation and trial
