Qualcomm is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Contracts Professional to join our legal team in San Diego. This role is critical in overseeing the execution and administration of contracts supporting university relations, research & development, engineering consulting services, and other areas. We’re looking for someone who can identify and implement process improvements, enjoys working with different teams, and loves the challenge of learning new subject matters and issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
6+ years of Contract Administration experience or related work experience.

Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agiloft CLM
Master’s or Doctorate (including Juris Doctorate) degree in Communication, Business, Political Science, or related field.
Certification in legal, contracts, or related areas.
8+ years of Contract Administration experience.
2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements; utilizing internal processes to track transactions from beginning to end; troubleshooting processes and systems; and coordinating with principal business partners. This role will be responsible for harmonizing and maintaining templates and clauses and developing associated contract playbooks.

This role requires the completion of a high volume of tasks and projects quickly, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and the flexibility to adjust to competing priorities. Candidates should be comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from strategic to administrative.

In this role, you can expect to:

Take day-to-day lead on contracts management process, working closely with the legal team to ensure an organized contract lifecycle process and up to date processes and policies across business teams
Conduct initial reviews of contracts under the supervision of commercial lawyers, identifying key terms, risks, and areas requiring further legal input
Efficiently manage and track contracts, including approvals routing, signatures and archiving
Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation in the contract management system.
Develop and maintain contract templates, clauses, and contract playbooks
Streamline contract processes leveraging our contract lifecycle management system and integrated AI functionality
Identify and develop innovative ways to improve existing contract management approaches

Successful candidates will have:

Strong attention to detail for reviewing contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
Ability to invent, simplify and improve legal and contracting processes impacting our legal team and the businesses we support
Experience working cross-functionally with legal, finance, and operational teams to align contract terms with business goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey contract terms, obligations, and expectations
Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a dynamic business environment

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$125,800.00 – $188,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
