Job Description Summary
Support the HK Legal team on:
Day to Day legal and administrative matters
execution of transactions
transversal projects
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in full spectrum of Legal work as assigned by the Co-Chief Legal Officers, in particular in respect of Global Markets work including fixed income and equities products, derivatives activities, debt issuance and structured finance
Assist in administrative tasks including transaction execution, management and payment of legal invoices, document management and onboarding of external law firms
Review and negotiate a wide variety of agreements relating to Global Markets activities including master agreements, trade confirmations, distribution agreements, lending and debt issuance documentation, confidentiality agreements and engagement letters
Conduct research on legal and regulatory matters relating to the above matters in respect of APAC jurisdictions
Assist in legal drafting and company secretarial work
Maintain and assist in updating legal templates in line with market/regulatory changes
Liaise with external counsel and a variety of internal stakeholders
Required Skills:
Law degree from a common law jurisdiction.
Previous experience as a trainee or paralegal in a financial institution.
Good organizational skills.
A collaborative and open disposition.
