Position Overview:
Our dynamic legal team is seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal with 4–8 years of recent experience in family law to support our growing practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in managing complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support disputes, and related proceedings. Familiarity with probate and estate planning is advantageous but not required. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated attorneys in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, mediations, and client meetings.
Draft, review, and file legal documents (petitions, motions, declarations) with precision and adherence to court deadlines.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Manage case calendars, track critical deadlines, and coordinate schedules efficiently.
Serve as a liaison between clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
Conduct detailed legal research and compile findings to support case strategies.
Assist in preparing financial disclosures, settlement agreements, and support calculations for divorce and spousal/child support cases.
Provide administrative support, including document preparation, file management, and court filings.
Attend court proceedings and client consultations as needed.
Qualifications:
4–8 years of hands-on paralegal experience, specifically in family law.
In-depth knowledge of family law procedures, local court rules, and legal documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
Paralegal certification from an accredited program is preferred but not mandatory.
Bonus: Experience in probate, estate planning, or related areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
