We are a prestigious Real Estate Litigation Law Firm located in the heart of the Financial District in Lower Manhattan. Our firm is known for delivering successful outcomes in high-stakes real estate litigation, and we are seeking a skilled Real Estate Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic team. (This is a 100% “IN OFFICE” position – it is NOT Remote).
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly-experienced Real Estate Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of experience in contested real estate litigation within New York courts. The ideal candidate has trial experience, excellent litigation skills, and a strong understanding of New York real estate law. You should have experience with 1 or more of the following areas: Landlord-Tenants, Condo Representation, Commercial/Residential RE Litigation, Foreclosure, Banking Litigation, Housing Discrimination, Title, Investor Litigation, Building Construction Litigation, HOA, Leasing, and other Litigation related to the purchase and sale of homes/commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of real estate litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trials
Conduct legal research, draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Represent clients in court proceedings, including motions, hearings, and trials
Advise clients on real estate disputes, rights, and case strategies
Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes
Prepare for trial by gathering evidence, deposing witnesses, and reviewing documents
Manage disputes such as landlord-tenant issues, contract disagreements, and property disputes
Review and analyze real estate contracts, leases, deeds, and related documents
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for cohesive case management
Ensure compliance with New York real estate laws and regulations, advising clients on risk mitigation
Represent clients in mediation or arbitration to resolve disputes efficiently
Stay informed on changes in real estate law, regulations, and case law in New York
Qualifications:
2+ years of Real Estate Litigation experience in New York
Licensed to practice law in New York
Strong litigation and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $150,000 to $225,000 (commensurate with experience)
