Title: Paralegal

The role will be based in Bermuda, assisting lawyers with a variety of legal and supporting tasks, from preparation of first draft documents, research and know-how development, to serving as the client relationship contact point.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drafting
• prepare fee quote and engagement letter
• prepare and update legal opinions and due diligence reports
• draft corporate authorisations and statutory filing documents
Research and Know-how development
• maintain and update our know-how library
• perform legal research
• conduct company search and court search and review search results
Transaction Management
• assist with the transaction management, from fee quote/engagement letter, to daily
communication, and to closing and invoicing
• assist in the set up of various funds/corporate vehicles and filing with governmental
bodies
Administration & organization
• conduct conflict search and review search results
• organize files and matters and assist with WIP/AR management
• liaise with credit controller, corporate service/fiduciary and other support teams
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate
Knowledge of AML/KYC requirements
Experience with client on boarding is an advantage
