One of our longstanding clients, a respected personal injury law firm in Jacksonville, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join their legal team. This role will support attorneys with a wide range of responsibilities related to personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, experienced in litigation support, and capable of managing multiple complex cases in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities
Draft and file legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements
Review and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case documents
Coordinate with clients, medical providers, and expert witnesses to gather and organize case evidence
Maintain case files and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met
Prepare discovery responses and assist with the organization and review of evidence
Assist in preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and deposition materials
Maintain accurate records in the firm’s case management system
Requirements
Prior experience as a paralegal supporting medical malpractice or personal injury litigation
Proficiency in drafting pleadings and legal documents
Strong understanding of litigation processes and relevant laws
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Paralegal certification or Associate’s degree preferred
