GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Staff Trainer / Mediator plays a pivotal role in assisting with all mediations and coordinating many aspects of the DRC training department and functioning as an in-house trainer. Other duties include, but limited to, ensuring the successful development and delivery of a wide range of training courses. This includes overseeing the training schedule, and outreach efforts. The Staff Trainer / Mediator is responsible for training and creating new training modules in conjunction with the training manager, while continually updating and enhancing existing ones. In addition to these responsibilities, the Staff Trainer / Mediator collaborates with the training manager to create all training marketing pieces. The Staff Trainer / Mediator is also responsible for implementing marketing strategies on time and fostering strong community relationships through meetings, gatherings, and office visits. This role requires the ability to consistently create and deliver successful training and coordinate projects. Lastly, this position requires effectively mediating all types of mediations at the Dispute Resolution Center, to include but not limited to, Small Claims Court, Landlord-Tenant, and Family cases both online and in-person at both our Everett and Skagit County locations.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
Coordinate training courses and scheduling in conjunction with training manager.
Mediate all types of mediations as needed, to include Small Claims Court, Landlord-Tenant, and Family cases.
Serve as backup Small Claims Court Lead when needed.
Create and deliver exceptional training courses.
Collaborate with Training Coordinator to create custom training quotes.
Assist with filling and promoting all training courses to meet revenue goals.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with students and trainers to enhance the quality of all training courses.
Act as a liaison to the public, community, and citizens, fostering partnerships and community support.
Coordinate and prepare special projects assigned by senior management.
Provide online training technical support when needed to ensure seamless program delivery.
Collect and compile data for reporting and program evaluation purposes.
Other duties as assigned.
Support all DRC programs as assigned.

Successful achievement of program goals and objectives.
Expansion and development of the training program and the Dispute Resolution Center.
Increased student enrollment, reflecting the program’s quality and relevance.
Effectively mediate cases.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant filed or in lieu of degree, a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
Certificated Mediator (Mediation Practitioner Certification)
Demonstrated experience in project supervision, outreach, marketing, and customer service.
Extensive experience in training.
Strong sales and program development skills.
Belief in alternative dispute resolution processes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and the community.
Ability to prioritize and work independently or with a team on complex tasks.
High level of proficiency in computer and word processing skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and being available and responsive via email/phone/messaging.
