Job Description:
We’re a solo criminal defense firm based in Las Vegas, looking for a reliable and detail-oriented legal assistant to support case operations, build internal SOPs, and help organize our systems as we scale. This is a remote, contract role with room to grow.
You’ll be working directly with the managing attorney and play a key role in keeping criminal cases moving—from motion filing to discovery organization and workflow documentation.
Responsibilities:
Format and file prepared motions in Nevada state courts
Organize discovery and track deadlines using SharePoint
Assist with drafting checklists and SOPs for internal processes
Communicate with clients professionally and consistently
Support the automation team by documenting workflows (no coding required)
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (criminal defense a plus)
Excellent attention to detail and file organization
Proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Outlook
Clear communication skills and professional client demeanor
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Bonus: experience creating Loom videos or workflow documentation
