We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys managing cases from pre-litigation through trial.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive litigation support for personal injury cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial exhibits.
Manage discovery, including document review, ESI collection, and preparation of privilege logs.
Prepare detailed case summaries, medical chronologies, and damage assessments.
Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing witness and exhibit lists, deposition page-line designations, and trial binders.
Support attorneys during trial, including jury selection logistics, witness preparation, and real-time case management.
Draft and compile mediation materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, timelines, and expert reports.
Negotiate and resolve liens, including Medicare and Medicaid claims, post-settlement.
Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure case progression.
Train and mentor junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in personal injury law.
Education: Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
Skills:
Strong litigation and trial preparation experience.
Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and case management.
Experience with case management software (e.g., Abacus, TrialWorks, Clio, Neos).
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
