Nox Group is a dynamic construction enterprise seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal team in managing contracts and ensuring compliance with legal requirements within our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of contracts law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Contract Management:
Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of construction contracts, subcontracts, and related documents.
Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts and related correspondence.
Monitor contract compliance and track key deadlines and milestones.
Legal Research:
Conduct research on laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to Nox Group.
Interpret and summarize legal documents and findings for the legal team and project managers.
Documentation:
Prepare and submit legal documents, ensuring adherence to legal standards and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and procurement documents.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide legal guidance in coordination with General Counsel.
Liaise with external legal counsel regarding complex legal matters related to Nox Group.
Risk Management:
Identify potential legal risks in contracts and construction processes, offering strategies for mitigation.
Assist in the preparation of reports and compliance audits.
Administrative Support:
Organize and manage case files, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in record-keeping.
Support the legal department with administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications, Education & Certifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field.
Certification from a recognized paralegal organization (e.g., NALA, NFPA) preferred.
Previous experience as a paralegal, preferably in the construction industry or real estate.
Proficient in contract law and relevant construction regulations.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity in construction project management tools a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
