ABOUT HONES LAW
Hones Law PLLC is a Seattle employment law firm that represents workers and advances workers’ rights. We handle individual and class-action matters involving wage-and-hour violations, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other workplace issues. We seek a thoughtful, highly organized paralegal who wants to support meaningful advocacy and help move cases from filing through discovery to trial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- File pleadings and initiate cases through Washington state and federal court e-filing and e-service systems.
- Calendar court rules, case schedules, discovery deadlines, hearings, and internal reminders; monitor the calendar and coordinate with attorneys before deadlines.
- Maintain organized electronic client files, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials.
- Draft and format routine correspondence, notices, subpoenas, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate depositions, court reporters, interpreters, process servers, and service of process.
- Manage discovery, track responses and productions, organize documents, and prepare useful summaries.
- E-mail and e-serve documents and pleadings to opposing counsel.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience supporting civil litigation in Washington state or federal court. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience, but the strongest candidates will have litigation experience.
- Familiarity with electronic filing, calendaring, discovery, and document management—or the ability to learn quickly.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, reliability, and written communication.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, ask questions early, and take ownership of assigned work.
- Commitment to treating clients with patience, respect, and professionalism.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
