Corporate Paralegal
Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. (“AUI”) in Oak Ridge, TN, is seeking a paralegal to assist the legal team and licensing department in managing licensing applications, renewals, and related processes. Additional duties may include working with the AUI legal team on business litigation tasks, state compliance projects, and assisting with file management and organization.
Knowledge and experience with state licensing practices, prior government paralegal work, or in-house legal team experience are a plus.
Starting salary will be based on relevant experience and qualifications. Paid vacation time and a competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401k) are available after 90 days of employment.
Required Experience:
1-3 years of prior law firm experience (or equivalent)
Ability to manage and meet licensing deadlines
Excellent computer skills and ability to learn licensing systems quickly
Proficient in document management systems and Microsoft Office programs
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to interact with high-level management
