New Vacancy – Paralegal (Asset Based Lending Department)
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Asset Based Lending (ABL) Department. The existing team is friendly, hard-working, welcoming and we are seeking a like-minded individual.
Start date: ASAP
Manchester: Manchester city-centre office, with 5 days working in the office.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time – 37 hours
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide administrative support to the Asset Based Lending Department.
Key Duties
Carrying out general administrative support duties.
Opening files and carrying out conflict checks on the case management system.
Recording all payments to the case management system and individual case payment plan/docs (subject to training and supervision as below).
General file financial administration (subject to training and supervision as below).
Arranging payment(s) out to client as required (subject to training and supervision as below).
Standard emails and letters out to clients and debtors as required (subject to training and supervision as below).
Answering incoming calls and correspondence from clients, Debtors and other professionals and delivering messages accurately and efficiently.
Issuing letters before action and winding up notices.
Issue court applications for Charging Orders, HCO, attachment of Earnings and orders to attend.
Issue and serve County court proceedings, Statutory Demands and Bankruptcy / Wind-up Petitions.
Skills Required
Essential:
Good standard of computer literacy and keyboard skills.
Good communication skills.
Demonstrates a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Good standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
Professional manner both by phone and face to face.
Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
Desirable: Awareness of work undertaken in a solicitor’s office

Qualifications Required
The successful candidate must have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including both Maths and English (or equivalent).
