Job Description:

Weaver Johnston Nelson PLLC is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our growing team. This position offers flexibility for the right candidate and may be structured as either a full-time or part-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting attorneys in both corporate/transactional matters and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple matters in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct document review, analysis, organization, and production for corporate and litigation matters, including reviewing agreements, discovery materials, client documents, and other case-related materials.
  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of commercial litigation and corporate matters, including preparation, organization, and management of legal documents and case materials.
  • Support litigation matters through all phases, including pleadings, discovery, document production, deposition preparation, mediation, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Assist with preparation and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, contracts, agreements, and transactional documents.
  • Manage discovery processes, including collection, review, organization, and production of electronically stored information and other documents.
  • Assist with corporate and transactional matters, including entity formation documents, governance materials, resolutions, consents, agreements, due diligence, and closing documents.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain case files, corporate records, exhibits, chronologies, and attorney work product.
  • Assist with state and federal court filings, electronic filing systems, docket management, and litigation deadlines.
  • Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with preparation of client materials, summaries, and internal case documents.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, courts, and outside vendors.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information.
  • Support attorneys with special projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting both corporate/transactional matters and commercial litigation required.
  • Strong document review and document management experience.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures, discovery processes, and legal documentation.
  • Experience with Texas state and federal court filings preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology platforms.
