We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Paralegal to join a busy in-house Legal team within a well-established engineering consultancy for a period of 4-6 weeks. This is an immediate start temporary opportunity, starting w/c 22/6/2026
The Role
You will work closely with a small commercial Legal team supporting a high volume of work, particularly across commercial contracts and project engagements. This role will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously and taking ownership of their responsibilities.
Key duties will include:
– Developing and maintaining legal systems, procedures and templates
– Managing contracts administration, including coordinating execution and maintaining accurate records
– Monitoring and managing the Legal inbox, responding to and triaging requests
– Maintaining and organising legal filing systems
– Assisting with drafting and negotiating a range of agreements, including: Professional services agreements, Non-disclosure agreements, Exclusivity agreements, Joint venture agreements
– Drafting contractual documentation for the engagement of sub-consultants
– Supporting tender submissions by reviewing requests and providing relevant legal input
About You
You will be a law student looking to build your career in a commercial environment. This role is ideal for someone who is studying law, recently graduated with their law degree, or about to commence PLT. Equipped with some prior experience in a law firm or legal environment, highly organised and detail-orientated, a confident communicator with strong written skills, comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities, proactive and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
