Shipping Finance Paralegal
We are working with a leading global shipping group seeking a Paralegal to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced paralegal with expertise in asset finance, general finance, or shipping finance to contribute to a dynamic and transformational legal function.
Key Responsibilities:
Support legal transactions, including preparing corporate authorities, managing conditions precedent, and liaising with registries on registration documentation.
Conduct KYC/AML reviews and provide KYC documentation to counterparts.
Collaborate with internal departments and external counsel on sanctions checks, sale and purchase transactions, and financing processes.
Maintain departmental trackers and manage legal files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Draft and review commercial and technical management agreements, and assist with government filings.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, law, or a related field.
Proven experience in asset finance, general finance, or shipping finance, with exposure to compliance processes.
Strong legal knowledge with exceptional organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency in software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Visio.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
