Make an impact with our Legal & Risk Management team as a Paralegal. This diverse team of professionals provides legal expertise to support the success of our operations across a broad range of practice areas. As a trusted advisor, you’ll apply your understanding of the legislative landscape to proactively explore and mitigate risk and ensure firmwide compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal assistance and paralegal support to in-house counsel across a broad range of practice areas, such as corporate/commercial, M&A, litigation, employment, regulatory, and privacy
  • Assist in the preparation, editing and proofing of legal presentations and documents including agreements, legal memoranda, correspondence and legal forms
  • Coordinate document production in response to regulatory or court-ordered requests
  • Provide matter management support, including intake, assignment coordination, filing, reporting, and follow ups
  • Maintain and organize calendars, emails, correspondence, notes, meetings and documents
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills And Experience

  • At least 2 years of paralegal experience or 3+ years of corporate legal assistant experience, gained in a mid to large size firm or in-house corporate legal department
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent document and technology skills (for example formatting, redlining, version control) as well as strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with corporate records and minute books would be considered an asset
  • Ability to speak and write French would be considered an asset
