A new Paralegal role has opened up in our Employment team, this role is open to our offices in Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham and London.
Our Employment, Pensions and Immigration team continues to be a market leader in the health and social care and local government sectors whilst growing its profile and client base in some of our emerging markets including the insurance and finance, commercial, education and housing sectors.
The Employment team primarily act for employers, including national and multi-national organisations, supporting them to improve their employment practices and manage workforce issues, as well as defending employment litigation and seeking to mitigate risks for clients.
Bevan Brittan has strong recognition in the independent directories to the legal sector – Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. In both guides we are consistently ranked in the top tier for our Employment practice with several individuals in the team recognised as leading lawyers.
The role
A vacancy has arisen for a Paralegal with a sound level of experience of litigation processes to join our Employment team.
On joining the team, you would undertake a variety of work, principally handling aspects of employment litigation such as disclosure, document and bundle collation and preparation, preparation of correspondence and draft pleadings, and case management.
What we are looking for from you
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:
- Previous paralegal experience
- Experience of dealing with employment law issues and/or Employment Tribunal claims under supervision
- Experience of litigation and case management under supervision (preferred)
- Practical and commercial approach
- Strong IT skills
- Drafting and legal analysis skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to build interpersonal relationships with clients and colleagues
