Job Overview
An experienced corporate/commercial real estate attorney in a nine-attorney law firm in Downtown Hartford area is looking for a paralegal to assist with commercial real estate transactions and corporate transactions. Our ideal candidate for this position would be highly organized, internally motivated, and detail oriented, with a desire to perform this work correctly and efficiently.
Responsibilities Include
Drafting and preparing closing documents, including but not limited to amendments to agreements, leases, SNDAs, P+S Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements and general corporate and LLC documents
Coordinate due diligence
Work with title companies, order title searches, and prepare title policies
Prepare closing statements
Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the closing and post-closing process
Review and summarize UCC, judgement, tax, and other lien searches
Interact with clients, attorneys, and third parties
Provide administrative support to attorneys
Requirements And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
4 or more years of relevant paralegal experience
Superior document management and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
· Experience in forming corporations, limited liability companies, and other entities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
Tabs3/Practice Master experience a plus (not required)
Attention to detail
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Self-motivated
Salary commensurate with experience. Free parking onsite included.
