This Paralegal role will be part of the Legal team providing services to ANZ and will liaise with stakeholders, franchise partners, etc and oversee store transaction matters.
Job Responsibilities:
Running transaction files for store settlements from start to finish including set up of store transaction file, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, document preparation, payment requests, settlement preparation, signing of documents and more
Assisting the rest of the paralegal team with any over-flow transaction work
Preparing and reviewing contracts with the supervision of a team of Australian lawyers
Attending weekly, fortnightly and monthly meetings both within Legal and with other internal departments
Have one-on-one, daily contact with external stakeholders including our Franchise Partners, financiers, councils, landlords, banks and lawyers • Speaking on the telephone daily with internal and external stakeholders
Some office administration tasks (i.e. reporting and record keeping) • Entering data into various spreadsheets for record keeping, reporting and analysis
Providing support to the lawyers in the team when required;
Creating and maintaining precedents
Regularly providing status reports and conducting troubleshooting when required
Maintaining strict deadlines for store transactions and business requirements
Using various platforms and software including Microsoft suite, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, NetDocs, Hotdocs and Docusign
Requirements:
Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal
Confident and strong communicator
A can-do, positive and mature attitude
Be able to perform all tasks to a high standard and in reliable, timely and accurate manner
Be responsive to the business and strive to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
