Job Description: Are you ready to take your legal career to the next level in a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment? As an Experienced Attorney at Orlans Law Group, LLC you will be at the forefront of groundbreaking legal work. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

System Buildout: Assist us in building out our statewide replevin/impound recovery and/our consumer collections process from the filing of the lawsuit through post-judgment collections and executions.
Document Review: Dive deep into legal documents, uncovering critical details that drive case strategies.
Document Preparation: Craft compelling legal documents, from pleadings to motions to correspondences that set the stage for success.
Court Hearings: Step into the courtroom and represent our clients with confidence and poise.
Client Interaction: Build strong relationships with clients, providing them with expert guidance and support.
Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research to stay ahead of the curve and ensure our clients’ interests are protected.
Case Management: Take charge of case files, ensuring meticulous organization and timely execution.
Settlement and Negotiations: Master the art of negotiation, securing favorable settlements that exceed client expectations.
Compliance: Ensure that all debt collection activities are conducted in accordance with the state and federal laws, including Regulation F, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Florida rules of civil procedure
Leadership: As the Lead Attorney for either our Replevin/Impound Recovery Process or Consumer Collection practice through the litigation and post judgment execution process, you play a pivotal role in creating workflows, managing and overseeing all aspects of our state wide processes within the state of Florida.

Qualifications:

Replevin and Impound Recoveries

Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school
Admission to the state bar and in good standing
5-8 years of experience in statewide consumer Replevin and Impound Recoveries practice throughout the entire state of Florida
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and collaborative mindset
Impeccable attention to detail and organizational prowess
Strong negotiation skills vs repair shops and tow lots and the counsel who represent them and a knack for achieving win-win outcomes
Preferred Candidate: Must have experience in statewide replevins and the replevin process along with extensive experience with impound recoveries from repair shops and tow lots, posting bonds to stop lien strip sales, defending auto lenders in litigation filed by repair shops and tow lots, auto title fraud, deficiency collections and a keen understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

Consumer Collections

Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school
Admission to the state bar and in good standing
8-10 years of experience in statewide consumer collections practice throughout the entire state of Florida
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive and collaborative mindset
Impeccable attention to detail and organizational prowess
Strong negotiation skills and a knack for achieving win-win outcomes
Preferred Candidate: Must have experience in building out a statewide collections practice and understand subrogation, consumer and commercial debt collection laws, and a keen understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
