Paralegal – Renewable Energy (M&A / Project Finance)
Location: Los Angeles (El Segundo) | Hybrid or Remote.
The Opportunity
A boutique law firm focused on renewable energy transactions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support its growing practice. The firm advises developers, lenders, and investment funds on complex deals across renewable energy and related infrastructure assets.
This is a hands-on role working directly with senior attorneys on active transactions, offering meaningful exposure to high-quality deal work in a fast-growing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support M&A, tax equity, and debt transactions from diligence through closing
- Manage transaction checklists, timelines, and closing deliverables
- Prepare and organize ancillary documents and closing sets
- Conduct lien searches, entity formations, and corporate filings
- Assist with diligence review, particularly within renewable energy projects
- Perform document review, section reference checks, and proofreading with high precision
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholders, ensuring processes stay on track
- Provide light drafting support where needed
Candidate Profile
- ~3+ years of paralegal experience (flexible for strong candidates)
- Experience supporting transactional practices (M&A, finance, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive processes forward
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Strong communication and follow-through
Preferred but not required:
- Experience in renewable energy or project finance
- Exposure to diligence processes and deal execution
- Combination of law firm and in-house experience
Working Model
- Hybrid: 2–3 days per week in-office (El Segundo)
- Remote flexibility for highly autonomous candidates
- Open to permanent hires or contractors
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 (or equivalent for contract roles)
