Our client, a major data & analytics company, is actively looking for a Paralegal to join their team in Alpharetta, GA! This is a hybrid position – on average the expectation is to be onsite 2-3x per month.
*** This begins as a 6 month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert at any time ***
Job Responsibilities:
- Acting as liaison among all internal LexisNexis key stakeholders and preparing a chronological detailed timeline at legals request
- Develop and organize material that helps legal draw these conclusions
- Researching case-related factual issues using various LexisNexis systems (Salesforce; MBS etc:)
- Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
- Keeping track of changes within the consumers LexisNexis file and providing timely updates on these changes
- In-take all Threat to Sue and Subpoena related matters
- Review and forward to litigation team in a timely manner
- Process Annual Claims Sweep on Consumer Center matters at Legal’s request for existing or any new consumer contacts
- Review prior Threat to sue cases to provide updated interaction
- Provide list of regulatory complaints received from the CFPB, Attorney General, and Better Business Bureau
- Process consumer disputes; suppressions; and or corrections at legals request.
- Generate consumer report and check report for accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate Degree and or Paralegal certification preferred
- Minimum of 1- 3 years Law Firm or Corporate Paralegal experience.
- Thorough knowledge of legal research techniques
- Thorough knowledge of legal terminology
- Thorough knowledge of legal communication principles and practices
- In depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations
- Proficient knowledge of computer-based software such as Windows, Explorer/Chrome and Microsoft Office
- Excellent phone etiquette with outstanding customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
