NS Law Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Paralegal to assist with the management and progression of civil litigation and transactional matters. The Paralegal will work directly with attorneys in preparing legal documents, maintaining case files, monitoring deadlines, communicating with clients and courts, and assisting with all phases of a matter from intake through resolution.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Draft and prepare correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Assist with civil litigation, real estate, and business matters.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
- Manage case calendars, court deadlines, hearings, discovery deadlines, and attorney reminders.
- Assist with discovery, including preparing requests and responses and organizing/documenting evidence.
- Review and summarize client documents, records, discovery materials, and correspondence.
- Conduct basic legal and public-record research.
- Prepare hearing, mediation, deposition, and trial materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, title companies, and other third parties.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation and follow up on outstanding case-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate case information, documents, notes, and deadlines in Clio and the firm’s electronic filing system.
- Assist with other legal and administrative duties necessary to keep matters organized and progressing efficiently.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a civil law practice strongly preferred.
- Experience with civil litigation is highly preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, proofreading, and document preparation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, assignments, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with clients, attorneys, courts, and other professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PDF documents, and electronic file management.
- Experience with Clio Manage or similar legal case-management software preferred.
- Ability to work independently while following attorney instructions and established office procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
- Paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or related education preferred but not required with sufficient law-office experience.
- Must be able to work full-time and on-site in El Paso, Texas.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
