Paralegal Jobs in Remote at Mission Personal Injury Lawyers
West Coast Trial Lawyers seeks a litigation professional with at least two (2) years of experience working as a legal assistant, paralegal, or case manager in civil litigation. Experience drafting and propounding discovery is heavily preferred.
The ideal candidate must be eager to learn and work in a team environment where growth is dictated by the effort they put in! We are particularly interested in a candidate who is seeking growth and longevity with our firm!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience handling personal injury matters from inception of a lawsuit to trial
Act as the liaison between clients and assigned attorney
Communications with opposing counsel
Maintaining the assigned attorney’s calendar while following deadlines pursuant to the California Code of Civil Procedure
Managing a high litigation case volume
Processing court filings in various counties along with federal filings
Updating clients on the status of their case while simultaneously updating the case file
Propound discovery and prepare subpoenas
Draft pleadings and legal documents for attorney review
REQUIRMENTS:
2+ years of Litigation experience
Full-time in-office availability: Monday – Friday
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Ability to work one-on-one with the handling attorney and within a team setting
Easily operate in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
PREFERENCES:
Bilingual English/Spanish
Knowledge of any legal software program (Filevine, Abacus Law, Clio, etc.)
Preparing trial binders/exhibit binders
