Job Summary:
We are seeking a Supervisor of Litigation to oversee and manage our legal team’s litigation processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of litigation professionals, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently and effectively from inception to resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team of litigation professionals, including assigning cases, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
2. Develop and implement strategies to effectively handle litigation matters and achieve successful outcomes.
3. Review and analyze legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to litigation cases.
4. Represent the organization in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as needed.
5. Collaborate with external legal counsel, experts, and other stakeholders on litigation matters.
6. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies throughout the litigation process.
7. Monitor and report on the progress of cases, identifying any risks or opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field required; JD strongly preferred.
2. Proven experience in a supervisory role within a legal department or law firm.
3. In-depth knowledge of litigation procedures, laws, and regulations.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
7. Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
8. Certification or license to practice law is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in managing a team of legal professionals in a litigation setting.
2. Familiarity with electronic discovery tools and litigation support software.
3. Demonstrated success in handling complex litigation cases from start to finish.
4. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving goals.
