Chief of Staff KC is seeking an experienced Paralegal for a client within the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and monitor corporate and regulatory filings with state agencies.
  • Maintain corporate governance records, entity documentation, board materials, meeting minutes, and related legal files.
  • Draft and update legal documents such as board resolutions, secretary certificates, governing documents, and corporate consents.
  • Manage filing calendars to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
  • Provide administrative support to in-house attorneys, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and other legal department coordination.
  • Assist with subpoena responses, legal requests, claims documentation, and other litigation support activities.
  • Support contract administration and vendor management, including digital signature processes and document tracking.
  • Review and distribute legal correspondence while maintaining organized and confidential records.
  • Partner with internal departments to support legal, compliance, and regulatory initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of corporate paralegal experience within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Working knowledge of corporate governance, entity management, and regulatory filing processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and interact confidently with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with litigation support and legal document management.
  • Experience maintaining complex corporate entity structures.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have Registered Paralegal (RP) certification.
