Chief of Staff KC is seeking an experienced Paralegal for a client within the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and monitor corporate and regulatory filings with state agencies.
- Maintain corporate governance records, entity documentation, board materials, meeting minutes, and related legal files.
- Draft and update legal documents such as board resolutions, secretary certificates, governing documents, and corporate consents.
- Manage filing calendars to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
- Provide administrative support to in-house attorneys, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and other legal department coordination.
- Assist with subpoena responses, legal requests, claims documentation, and other litigation support activities.
- Support contract administration and vendor management, including digital signature processes and document tracking.
- Review and distribute legal correspondence while maintaining organized and confidential records.
- Partner with internal departments to support legal, compliance, and regulatory initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of corporate paralegal experience within a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Working knowledge of corporate governance, entity management, and regulatory filing processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and interact confidently with internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with litigation support and legal document management.
- Experience maintaining complex corporate entity structures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have Registered Paralegal (RP) certification.
