We are seeking a dynamic, curious, and purpose-driven intern to join our Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of corporate communications, public affairs, and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy, areas that are increasingly critical in today’s complex geopolitical and macroeconomic environment.
This intern will support the team in shaping narratives, engaging stakeholders and exploring policy opportunities to support our company’s growth and sustainability goals.
Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Internship Intake: June/July 2026
Internship Duration: 3 – 6 Months
What You'll Do
Corporate Communications
- Assist in rethinking and reshaping communication strategies in light of evolving geopolitical, social, and economic landscapes.
- Support the development of compelling storytelling and thought leadership content for internal and external channels.
- Research and benchmark innovative comms strategies across industries.
Public Affairs
- Support the creation of a stakeholder and community engagement roadmap aligned with business priorities.
- Support the mapping of regulatory and policy developments and recommend engagement strategies for government and external stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting briefing notes, position papers, and stakeholder communication materials.
ESC (External Stakeholder Collaboration) / ESG Opportunity Platforms
- Conduct research on current and emerging government policies and funding opportunities that can accelerate ESG goals.
- Propose strategic initiatives or collaborations that align with policy windows or development agendas.
- Help track and update policy/regulatory databases relevant to ESG, sustainability, and public affairs.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Law, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Sustainability or related field.
- Strong writing, research and analytical skills.
- Interest in current affairs, ESG, policy and stakeholder management.
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and connecting dots between policy, business and societal impact.
