Johnson Mark LLC is seeking an Oregon-licensed attorney to join our established litigation team. This is a hands-on position focused on helping manage and advance a high volume of Oregon litigation matters.
We are looking for a dependable attorney who can take ownership of assigned matters, work within established processes, appear at hearings, communicate professionally, and consistently move cases forward.
You do not need to be a highly experienced litigator to succeed in this role. We have established processes, technology, and support systems designed to help attorneys manage their caseload and be successful.
The ideal candidate is someone who is licensed, reliable, organized, willing to learn, and motivated to get cases across the finish line.
Position Summary
The Oregon Attorney will manage our Oregon litigation matters and help move those cases through the litigation process toward resolution.
This position provides an opportunity for an attorney to develop and apply practical litigation skills while working within a supportive legal operations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Oregon litigation matters, ensuring cases, deadlines, hearings, and required actions are handled timely and effectively.
- Review cases, identify appropriate next steps, and work with legal support staff to keep matters moving toward resolution.
- Prepare for and attend remote and in-person Oregon court hearings and assist with pleadings, motions, discovery, legal research, and other litigation activities.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
- Evaluate matters and assist with settlement negotiations and other resolution strategies within established guidelines.
- Identify issues requiring additional attention or escalation and seek guidance when appropriate.
- Follow established processes and workflows while working collaboratively with attorneys, legal support, and legal operations teams.
- Travel within Oregon as reasonably necessary for court appearances and other assigned matters.
Qualifications — Required
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active Oregon law license and membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar.
- Clear and effective verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional and ethical judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and follow established processes.
- Ability and willingness to appear remotely and in person in Oregon courts as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Oregon as reasonably required.
Qualifications Preferred — But Not Required
- Prior civil litigation experience.
- Experience appearing in Oregon courts.
- Experience with motions, discovery, hearings, or settlement negotiations.
- Experience managing a litigation caseload.
- Experience using legal case-management systems or other legal technology.
- Experience in creditor-rights, collections, consumer-finance, or other high-volume litigation.
- Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states, with associated costs covered by the firm.

Oregon (Remote — Work from Home)
This is a remote position that requires occasional regional travel for in-person court appearances and other assigned matters. Candidates must be able and willing to appear in Oregon courts as required.
