The Trial Consultant is a billable position responsible for collaborating with external clients and in-house teams to conceptualize and develop effective visual presentation projects. They work with our graphic designers and other consultants, collaboratively developing ideas and analogies, sketching concepts, and refining the resulting graphics. All of this is done while managing and exceeding client expectations. The ideal candidate has the ability to organize, coordinate, and administer all resources and activities, ensuring efficient and seamless service throughout the case.

Responsibilities

Works with clients and case teams to distill complex issues and key themes into successful visual strategies for litigation
Provides insight and creative solutions related to our firm’s service offerings
Coordinates and facilitates regular internal and client meetings to confirm progress, review issues and actions, monitor quality, and resolve questions
Interfaces with clients to propose, collect and execute client revisions and suggestions
Prioritizes case work from multiple cases, anticipates conflicting case deadlines and demands, balances workloads, and utilizes the skills of others across the department
Develops visual presentations in PowerPoint with the assistance and guidance of a designer
Ensures Quality Management process, actively maintaining high design standards and details are maintained; provides constructive feedback as needed
Actively maintains project costs and staffing levels based on constantly fluctuating client needs and deadlines and provides analyses and makes recommendations to the client to optimize time and available resources
Contributes to best practices within the department and company
Develops and maintains client relationships with valued clients in order to foster repeat business and referrals
Seeks opportunities within the company for personal and professional growth, such as non-billable activities and cross-training
Fosters commitment, team spirit, pride, and trust through proactive communication with other team members
Requirements:
Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Ability to grasp and simplify complex concepts
Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize projects, balance variable workload and meet client deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong client-service mindset is essential
Ability to independently manage time and balance priorities when performing ongoing projects often under tight time constraints
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to new tasks
Ability to provide clear direction and be willing to share and receive constructive feedback
Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve creatively, effectively, and efficiently
Willingness to integrate with client project teams for varying and extended durations
Advanced understanding of software (PowerPoint, Microsoft Office)
Willingness to contribute to innovation and business process improvement initiatives to strengthen organizational foundation

Schedule Requirements

25% travel for client meetings and/or on-site trial support
Ability to work nights and weekends on short notice when necessary
Flexibility to adapt to changing trial and work schedules

Experience & Technical Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience managing multiple deadline-driven projects
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Presentation/Graphics consultant or other relevant experience
B.S/B.A or equivalent combination of skills and experience
Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and be flexible in a constantly changing environment
Excellent time and project management skills with high attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
Ability to adapt to a wide range of department tools, resources, and software, including an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint

Location

This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
