KEWW is a hospitality staffing and workforce management platform. KEWW provides trained event staff to catering companies, venues, and hospitality businesses throughout Greater Houston.KEWW is hiring dependable Event Staff for temporary, on-call assignments. Depending on your experience, qualifications, and certifications, available shifts may involve Front of House or Back of House work.
Front of House assignments may involve event service, bartending, guest assistance, event setup, and general event support. Back of House assignments may involve food preparation, banquet service, dishwashing, and kitchen support.
Each available shift includes the assigned duties, hourly rate, working hours, location, dress code, and arrival instructions. Employees may review these details before accepting an assignment.
Responsibilities
- Review all shift details before accepting
- Arrive on time and in the required uniform
- Check in with the designated supervisor
- Perform the duties listed for the assignment
- Assist with event setup and breakdown
- Provide professional service to clients and guests
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow food safety, alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements
- Clock in and out through the KEWW platform
- Complete the entire accepted shift
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hospitality, catering, restaurant, event, or kitchen experience preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Smartphone with internet access
- Professional appearance and communication
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds when required
- TABC certification for bartending assignments
- Food Handler certification when required
Scheduling
This is an on-call position. Work schedules and weekly hours vary based on client needs, employee qualifications, and accepted assignments. Shifts may be available on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Employees may receive opportunities located within approximately 50 miles of their home address. Shift availability and hours are not guaranteed.
