Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with immigration cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to conduct thorough legal research, and a solid understanding of immigration law. The Immigration Paralegal will also be responsible for maintaining client communication and providing executive administrative support as needed. It is also required that applicants are fluent in Mandarin.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents.
Conduct legal research related to immigration law and regulations.
Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their cases, providing updates and answering questions.
Prepare and file forms with government agencies as required.
Support attorneys with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the law office.
Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and policies that may affect clients.
Skills
Proficient in legal research techniques and resources.
Strong understanding of immigration law; knowledge of family law, securities law, tribal law regulations, environmental law, and estate planning is a plus.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
Ability to provide executive administrative support while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
Familiarity with law office procedures and practices is essential.
Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingual- English/Mandarin
