Job Description:
Whiteford is seeking a business litigation associate with at least three years of experience to handle corporate litigation and general litigation work in the Firm’s Columbia, Maryland office.
The ideal candidate will have experience with complex commercial litigation, insurance issues, corporate governance, collection matters, and civil rights matters.
General litigation experience with trials, motions, discovery, settlements and all other aspects of a busy litigation practice is also required.
Excellent academic credentials and exceptional research, analytical, written, and oral communication skills are a must.
Clerkship experience is a plus as is experience advocating before administrative bodies or in arbitration.
Candidates must be admitted to the bar of Maryland. Additional bar admission(s) in DC or VA would also be a plus.
Salary based on experience: $140,000 – 150,000 per year.
