We’re looking for an Associate Attorney who is ready to hit the ground running, take ownership of their work, and drive cases forward from start to finish. As part of our supportive and collaborative team, you’ll design custom estate plans, assist with Medicaid applications, and guide clients through some of life’s most important decisions.

Compensation:
$60,000 yearly DOE
Responsibilities:
1. Client Support:
Support the partners by handling your own casework as assigned and supervised.
Prepare and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
Provide clients with clear and empathetic guidance throughout the planning process.
2. Case Collaboration:
Work closely with the legal team to ensure timely and efficient case progress.
Support Medicaid applications and other elder law-related matters under the supervision of senior attorneys.
3. Legal Research and Drafting:
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
Draft memoranda, pleadings, and other documents as needed to support the firm’s legal work.
Qualifications:
1. Education: J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
2. Licensure: Active license to practice law in Oregon or Washington (or both), in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure.
3. Experience: At least three years of legal practice preferred, particularly in estate planning or elder law.
4. Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Proficiency with technology, including word processing, document storage systems, and legal research tools.
High emotional intelligence and empathy, especially when working with seniors or emotional clients.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
