The role is ideal for a mid-to-senior-level attorney experienced in transactional work involving natural gas, electricity, power purchase agreements, and ISDA documentation. Familiarity with secured transactions, especially those involving security interests in personal property, is required. The successful candidate will handle complex transactional matters within a collaborative legal team.

Duties:
Draft, review, and negotiate power purchase agreements and ISDA contracts
Provide counsel on natural gas and electricity transactions
Advise on secured transactions involving security interests in personal property
Prepare and review security agreements, intercreditor agreements, and joinder agreements
Collaborate with clients and internal teams on energy-related deals
Ensure compliance with regulatory and commercial requirements
Requirements:
4 to 6 years of relevant legal experience in energy and commodities transactions
Proficiency with power purchase agreements and ISDA documentation
Experience handling secured transactions and related agreements
Strong understanding of energy markets and transaction structures
Ability to manage multiple transactions with attention to detail
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Bar admission in Texas or eligibility to obtain it
Skills:
Expertise in transactional energy law
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Familiarity with commodities and derivatives markets
Understanding secured lending and finance structures
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently under time constraints
